Our Timeline
Comunidad de Colores has signed a lease for dedicated space within the Chainbreaker Collective building in the Hopewell-Mann neighborhood. Chainbreaker is an environmental justice organization committed to expanding access to affordable transportation and sustainable communities.
The new location—which is also next to Bienvenidos Outreach, a food pantry—will strengthen connections with like‑minded organizations addressing economic and racial justice and expand access to compassionate, equitable care.
We chose this space because it is in an area with a demographic with a high need for care; because we’re surrounded by organizations that share our mission for equity; and because our rent benefits another non-profit working towards improved health outcomes. It is a critical step toward expanding access to compassionate, equitable care for our community.
We are planning for renovations to turn the space into a licensed clinic. Here you can see the multi-step process and where we are along the path. We’re grateful to our donors and look forward to opening doors to neighbors who need it most.
